This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit insidernewsai.com or subscribe to AI Insider News, why we use it, who handles it, how long we retain it, and the choices available to you.
Fresh analytics permission is required. Our analytics choice now also covers Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). Earlier choices do not activate Google Analytics: visitors are asked to choose again. Declining, withdrawing or sending a Global Privacy Control signal keeps Google Analytics off. Your membership and Stripe checkout do not depend on this permission.
With that permission, Google receives browser and session identifiers, page views, selected campaign labels, device and connection information, and selected interactions such as viewing the offer, opening FAQs and continuing to checkout. We remove URL query details, fragments and free-text page titles from the page information we send. Google Signals, user-provided customer data and Google advertising personalization are disabled.
Confirmed purchases. At a click toward Stripe, our Cloudflare backend receives the Google browser and session identifiers, selected plan and permitted campaign label in a temporary encrypted record. Only an eligible payment confirmed by Stripe can produce a Google Analytics purchase event with those identifiers, value, currency, tax, plan and an opaque transaction reference. We do not include your name, email, phone, address, card details or Stripe session reference in that event. Opening the membership page does not send a purchase event.
Storage and retention. The current preference key is aidn_measure_choice_v4, replacing the older choice keys listed below; it lasts up to 180 days. With fresh permission, Google cookies _ga and _ga_* are configured to expire within 180 days without extending their expiry on later visits; browsers may shorten that period. The secure HttpOnly __Host-aidn_ga4 cookie on stats.insidernewsai.com links this browser to its temporary records for up to 24 hours. Encrypted Google identifiers are usable for no more than 24 hours and not beyond the original session attribution window. Their payload is cleared on reporting, acknowledged withdrawal or a terminal outcome; expired records are removed by the scheduled cleanup. Service delays and infrastructure backups can postpone physical deletion, but cannot extend eligibility for reporting. Google event and user details are set to 14 months without resetting retention on new activity; most standard aggregate reports have separate retention.
Withdrawal and providers. Use Cookie choices to turn off analytics. We stop new collection, remove our Google cookies and request revocation of pending backend records. aidn_ga4_revoke_pending_v1 stores only a retry flag if that request is not acknowledged. A previously authorized record can still be processed before the backend receives the withdrawal; an event already being sent or sent cannot be recalled through this browser action. Contact [email protected] for data-rights requests. Google is an additional provider for the optional analytics described here and may process data internationally under its applicable data-processing and transfer terms. See Google’s privacy policy. The legal basis for this optional collection and purchase association is your consent.
The data controller is Eugenio Fierro, sole proprietor, Via degli Astronauti 48, 80040 San Sebastiano al Vesuvio (NA), Italy, VAT ID IT11013761215 · [email protected]. We are established in Italy, so EU data protection law (GDPR) applies to how we handle your data wherever you live. We are too small to be required to appoint a data protection officer.
_fbp), an advertising click identifier (_fbc, when available), and the IP address and browser details (the User-Agent header) of your request to associate a confirmed payment with advertising. We prepare a temporary encrypted record of that choice on our backend. The Meta browser Pixel is not loaded. Basis: your advertising consent, separate from analytics and session recordings. We do not collect data about your race, health, politics, religion or anything else sensitive, and we never ask for it.
The providers below handle data to deliver the services described here. SiteGround hosts the WordPress website; Cloudflare runs backend services and first-party analytics; Resend sends membership emails. Microsoft provides our support mailbox and, separately, the optional Clarity service. Clarity is subject to Microsoft’s independent processing described below. Stripe processes payment data on our behalf and, for fraud prevention, its legal obligations and Link accounts, as an independent controller. Meta and WhatsApp also process data under their own policies as described below.
Nobody else. We never sell or rent your personal data, and we have never done so. Apart from the providers listed above and the consent-based sharing with Meta and Microsoft Clarity described on this page, we do not disclose your data to advertisers or data brokers. Two things are worth saying plainly: inside the group, as in any WhatsApp group, other members can see your phone number and profile name (section 2); and we disclose data if the law requires it (for example, a valid court order).
You receive emails about your membership: welcome and group link, payment receipts, renewal reminders (15–45 days before each renewal), price-change notices, cancellation and refund confirmations, and replies to your questions. We do not send marketing email without asking first.
We are in Italy. SiteGround, Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend, Microsoft and Meta process data in the United States and elsewhere. For transfers of personal data out of the European Economic Area, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses included in each provider’s data processing agreement. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards at [email protected]. If you are in the US, your data will in most cases stay in the US or move between the US and the EU.
Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can ask us to: see the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy; correct it; delete it (unless we must keep it for tax law); restrict or object to how we use it; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Write to [email protected]; we answer within 30 days and never charge for it. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
You may also complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it); EU residents may instead go to the authority of their own country, and US residents to their state attorney general or the FTC.
California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it (this page), to delete it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information. If you allow Meta advertising measurement or Microsoft Clarity recordings, the advertising-related information those services receive under their terms is “shared” for cross-context behavioral advertising as the CCPA defines it; you can opt out at any time through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the website footer, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out. With your consent, the purchase value, the browser advertising identifiers, and the IP address and browser details (the User-Agent header) described in section 2 are shared with Meta for advertising measurement and targeting. Microsoft may use information received through Clarity for its own advertising purposes as explained below. Nothing else from our membership records is shared for advertising, and we never sell personal information. Our business is below the CCPA’s thresholds, but we honor these rights for every California resident anyway, on request, by email. You can use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof of authorization.
Residents of other US states with privacy laws (for example Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut): we honor the same rights on request, without checking whether the law technically applies to a business of our size.
Withdrawing consent to advertising measurement. Use Cookie choices in the footer and turn off advertising measurement, or choose Decline all. We stop new advertising collection in this browser, remove our advertising cookies and ask our backend to revoke pending records linked to this browser. If the connection is unavailable, a local flag queues the request for retry; a record expires within 24 hours regardless. Until the backend receives a withdrawal, it may still process a previously authorised pending record. We cannot recall a report already sent. We respect Global Privacy Control. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it. For access, deletion or requests about information already sent, contact us; where required, we notify recipients. You can also use your Meta ad settings.
Browser storage remembers your choices and, only with the relevant permission, supports optional measurement. You can reopen Cookie choices at any time. Stripe checkout remains available when you decline optional measurement.
aidn_measure_choice_v3 in localStorage remembers separate analytics, recordings and advertising choices for up to 180 days. An older aidn_measure_choice_v2 choice can preserve analytics and recordings, but does not grant advertising permission.aidn_measure_visitor_v2 in localStorage holds a random browser identifier for up to 30 days. aidn_measure_session_v2 in sessionStorage identifies a visit, which expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. These identifiers are created only with analytics permission._fbp and, if a valid advertising click identifier is available, _fbc. Cookies newly set by this integration last up to 24 hours and are removed on withdrawal. No Meta browser Pixel is loaded.__Host-aidn_capi cookie on stats.insidernewsai.com links the browser to its temporary advertising records for up to 24 hours. Page scripts cannot read it, and the secret value is not sent to Meta.aidn_capi_revoke_pending_v1 and aidn_capi_renew_pending_v1 contain only local flags used to retry a withdrawal or complete a new explicit permission. They do not contain an order reference or secret. A withdrawal flag remains until acknowledged; server records expire within 24 hours.ain_ may remain from earlier visits. Current WordPress pages do not use them to grant advertising consent. You can remove older stored entries through your browser settings. With separate permission for session recordings, Microsoft Clarity may set _clck (a browser identifier) and _clsk (a session identifier). We remove these cookies when you withdraw that permission.
Stripe’s checkout and customer portal, which run on Stripe’s own domain, use cookies necessary to process your payment; see Stripe’s policy.
The site is served only over HTTPS. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is certified to the highest card-industry standard (PCI DSS Level 1). Our own systems store as little as possible, and access is limited to the owner and authorized collaborators. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.
The Service is for adults. You must be 18 or older to subscribe, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has subscribed, email us and we will delete the data.
If we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we email members before the change takes effect. The current version is always at insidernewsai.com/privacy.
Site analytics, session recordings and Meta advertising measurement have separate choices in Cookie choices. Session recordings also require analytics. These optional features start only after the corresponding permission. A previous permission for advertising does not enable analytics or recordings, and Global Privacy Control disables all optional measurement.
With site analytics enabled, our first-party service hosted by Cloudflare records page views, estimated browser visits, permitted campaign labels, device category, approximate country, active time, scrolling and clicks toward Stripe on the Home and membership pages. The analytics payload does not include the full URL, raw IP address, advertising cookies, name, email or card details. A random browser identifier expires after 30 days; a visit ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. Preferences are remembered for 180 days. Browser storage may be cleared earlier through Cookie choices.
Confirmed initial purchases come from Stripe independently of optional browsing analytics. A random checkout reference can associate a consented visit with an order; it is not proof of identity or advertising consent. Unmatched purchases remain unattributed. The payment records retain their existing retention rules.
If you separately allow session recordings, Microsoft Clarity receives interaction data from the Home page for session replay and heatmaps. Page content is masked before Clarity loads. Recordings require analytics permission and do not run on the membership page, the private panel or Stripe checkout. We and Microsoft act as independent controllers for Clarity. Under its terms, Microsoft may use the data it receives for Microsoft Advertising and product improvement. See Microsoft’s privacy statement. We do not provide Microsoft with customer names, email addresses or payment-card details through this integration.
Before loading Clarity, our site tells it to deny advertising storage and grant analytics storage. That controls this integration on our site; it does not change Microsoft’s independent processing or every use permitted by its terms.
Withdrawing permission stops our collection, removes our browser identifiers and reloads the page if needed to unload Clarity. It does not automatically erase earlier server records; you can contact us about your data. We retain site analytics history for comparisons across years; no automatic 90-day deletion is enabled. Browser identifiers and browsing details remain associated with that history until removed under our retention policy or in response to an applicable request. We periodically review whether these details are still needed.
